Fashion Friday: shorts and tights

If you still haven't packed up your summer wardrobe into storage yet (like me) - make sure you keep your shorts mixed in with your fall and winter staples. I absolutely love the shorts and tights look. Its such a versatile style. You can easily dress this down for the weekends by choosing a ripped up denim pair and colored tights or dress up a black pair with lacey black tights and a blazer for a casual chic evening out look.

Fashion Friday: white jeans

 Because we love fashion around here so much I thought I'd start a 'Fashion Fridays' series! Fun right?!

Currently I am obsessing over white jeans for the fall. This look is so easy, casual and chic. A chambray button up is a clear no-brainer to pair them with, but any color would really pop. Or a chunky sweater and riding boots. Yes please! So kiss that 'no-white-after-labor-day' rule goodbye and get you a pair of white jeans! I got mine here.

Well I don't have much to say about the aztec (or tribal) print other than I'm obsessed.

You can pretty much find this trend any where these days, but I'm totally crushing on the styles Francesca's is carrying. Like this one. And these phone covers on Etsy! Guess what's going on my Christmas list!?

Fall family fun

It has been such a lovely fall. I've had almost 10 shoots this month! Until I can get the rest of my shoots culled and edited, I'll fill in with a little family fun of our own. This was Ada's first visit to the pumpkin patch. I can get every expression except a smile out of her. 

Oh, well, they make me smile any way.

I am so excited to be getting back into my photography. I had taken a break when my daughter Ada was born back around the spring of 2012. I was feeling a little burnt out and had a shift in priorities (obviously). More than missing taking pictures, I have missed the creative outlet in my life and the opportunity to meet new people, to dream and to watch my ideas grow into something real. Well, there are new ideas now and they too are beginning to turn into something real. Stay tuned for new projects, new team members and maybe even a new look around here.

You and me and baby makes 3 - The Harrisons

I love how these photos turned out. The morning was totally casual, we drank our morning coffee and talked about babies, families and the snow falling out side (which made for EXCELLENT lighting!) while we waited for Miss Cora to wake from her morning nap. Its amazing how a little baby can make a photoshoot feel completely natural and relaxed.

I literally shed a few tears when I saw this one on the back of my camera.

I think its a perfect moment.
