Baby girl - woodland themed baby shower

As promised - here are a few highlights from my sister's baby shower last weekend. The theme was all her idea and emulates a similar theme she is doing in the baby's room. My mom and I put the details together.

My sister is a wonderfully talented graphic designer. She has an amazing eye for detail and beautiful design. She helped create the signs and game on everyone's plates as well.

It was a lovely few hours spent eating good food and catching up with family and friends.

We are looking forward to meeting baby Indigo or baby Violet (they haven't decided on which name yet!) in June.

I call her baby purple! Come soon, auntie em wants to kiss your face :)

That's Alaina's baby daddy and husband in the back there.

We randomly came across a large tree limb someone was pitching and we snagged it up for the center pieces. The tulips were a nice pop of spring.

Isn't this such a cute idea?!

Love you dear sister. You will be a wonderful and fun mother.

You and me and baby makes 3 - The Harrisons

I love how these photos turned out. The morning was totally casual, we drank our morning coffee and talked about babies, families and the snow falling out side (which made for EXCELLENT lighting!) while we waited for Miss Cora to wake from her morning nap. Its amazing how a little baby can make a photoshoot feel completely natural and relaxed.

I literally shed a few tears when I saw this one on the back of my camera.
I think its a perfect moment.

The most wonderful time of the year... FOR BABIES!

Baby B is growing rapidly and I'm pretty sure he/she already loves Christmas. Baby's activity was high over the weekend and Mr. B was finally able to see and feel that there really is a person growing in there!!!

Being pregnant this time of year has brought new meaning to the Christmas story for me. Especially with the birth of a dear friend's little one just almost a week ago now. I can easily imagine Mary's excitement, anticipation and fear of her son (Jesus) 's birth. Babies truly are an amazing miracle and gift. Thinking of Christ as a small helpless infant gives me more awe for God's amazing plan to send His son as a precious little one! What a cool idea!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that the celebrations continue through the end of the year!

As I ease into 2011, photo shoots have been sparse, but its been nice to be able to focus on other areas of my craft. Here's one of my favorite images from a maternity shoot I did last weekend.

I'm an Auntie AGAIN!

I was lucky to be blessed with a niece in 2010 (we share the same middle name too) and here are her first Auntie Em pictures. There will be sooo many more of her and her brother Rece (yesterdays blog).
